There is a new Bose Litigation Case out in Seattle, Washington and it involves Bose for the wrongful death of their customer. The deceased suffered a massive heart attack and died on the escalator as a result of being depressed on the day he died. His family had seen him earlier in the day, but he got off the elevator and never came back. They later found his wallet and keys near the seat where he was struck. They called 911 and later learned that he had been shopping at a departmental store when he died. The family wants compensation for the loss of their loved one, who was just 16 at the time of his death.
There are other people who have been seriously injured due to defective or dangerous machinery. The incidents that I read about range from electrocution to the improper use of a lift chair. In one case, there was an assembly line worker that used his foot to help push a large bucket of materials up a steep ramp. As he went up the ramp, the bucket hit his foot and caused his leg to snap backwards. He later sustained a broken leg.
Another case involved a man who was working on a scaffold while it was being lowered into the building. When it became too high for him to stand, he lost balance and fell to the concrete below. When he fell, he slipped on some rebar that was being lowered into the building. When he tried to climb back up the scaffold, he slipped once more. Bose’s lawyers claim that this man was disabled and could have become paralyzed if he hadn’t fallen on the bar in the first place.
