All of these complications have been previously identified by Aortic Dissection and other clinical trials. While a majority of our patients have had a history of heart problems, stroke and liver disease are uncommon.

In fact, all of our patients with cardiovascular disease, as of August  had not had prior cardiac or respiratory issues prior to receiving the fluoroquinolone antibiotic combination. In all, among those patients with cardiovascular disease, those with ascorbic acid elevations, those with ejection fractions below 45%, those with Q-angle defects, those with valvular insufficiency, those with dyslipidemia, and those with blood pH elevations above 7.5 were considered high risk.
